MURRAY McLACHLAN PIANO MASTER CLASS

Murray Mclachlan is a concert pianist with a discography of over 40 commercial recordings. He has appeared as soloist with most of the leading U.K. orchestras. His recognition has been far-reaching, bringing invitations to perform on all five continents. He regularly gives recitals and Master classes in the UK.
McLachlan teaches at the Royal Northern College of Music and is a Head of Keyboard at the Chetham's School of Music. He is a founder of the Manchester International Concerto competition, and is the Founder/Artistic Director of the world famous Chetham's International Summer school and Festival for Pianists, Europe's largest summer school devoted exclusively to the piano.
McLachlan is editor of "Piano Professional Magazine", as well as Chair of the UK section of the EPTA (European Piano Teachers' Association). He is well known for his articles on piano technique and repertoire. In 1997 he was awarded a knighthood by the Order of St. John of Jerusalem in recognition of his services to Music in Malta. This was followed by a Honorary Doctorate by the University of Dundee for outstanding services to music and education.

Closing date for Audition Applications is 20 April 2017
The auditions will take place on 28 April, Friday, at BYMT, room 9, from 4-7pm, and are free to enter.
We will allocate suitable audition slots to each candidate on application.
There are only 5 spaces for active performers.
Performers: £10 (covers participation and recital)
Public observation of Master class: £10
Audience for recital performance only: £6
Entry to both events: £15
