Frederick Stocken MA, PhD, FRCO is a sympathetic and inspiring teacher with a wealth of experience. He runs a part-time private teaching practice, mainly in piano but also with a few students for music theory, organ and composition. Students range from beginners to advanced, of all ages. Student concerts in local venues offer a supportive environment for progress. Home visits possible in the Canary Wharf/Docklands area. Frederick is also an examiner up to diploma level for the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music, as well as a trainer of examiners. His Scale Shapes, published in 5 volumes by Chester Music, is a popular teaching tool.
