The DaCapo Music Foundation Goes Nationwide.

The DaCapo Music Foundation Goes Nationwide.

28 May 2010

The DaCapo Music Foundation offers an approach to music education which is a fusion of Kodaly, Eurythmics and child-centred learning where the child's enjoyment fuels their progression. Through the use of relative solfa, songs and movement, the DaCapo approach introduces children to complex musical concepts, laying a solid foundation for their future education.
As well as running a thriving Family Music Centre where children and adults learn music in a relaxed and community based atmosphere, the DaCapo Music Foundation works in partnership with schools and musicians to deliver innovative music programmes to children with little or no musical education available to them.
The DaCapo approach has proven to be an incredibly successful approach:
“For us, DaCapo offers a child centred approach, a method which allows each child to develop at their own pace and has a holistic well rounded approach to music. The programme makes music more accessible to both the children and the parents.” – DaCapo Parent
“I find teaching with DaCapo hugely rewarding because all children thrive on the DaCapo approach. There is something for everyone to take away and as a result my classes are high achieving and fun... It’s great to be part of such a supportive team of committed music teachers.” Patxi del Amo, DaCapo Vice Principal

“It's very exciting to finally be in a position to launch the New DaCapo Licensing programme. After many years working in different areas of music education we are now able to give teachers the opportunity to benefit from our experience. Our inclusive and integrated approach to music education can now be taken up by teachers who work in areas other than London!” Jane Cutler, DaCapo Principal
