Each seminar presents a preview of the new syllabus repertoire to help you select pieces that best suit your pupils’ strengths and musical tastes, and also provides practical, innovative teaching and exam preparation tips.
What will I learn?
In addition to providing an opportunity to meet and share ideas with others teaching music in your region, each seminar will introduce: • all new exam material from Grades 1 to 8, with practical demonstrations • our marking criteria and what ABRSM examiners look for when grading a performance • a range of practical teaching tips and techniques, including encouraging scale practice and effective preparation for aural tests • methods of using ABRSM syllabus repertoire to build new skills and an understanding of music in a wider context

How much does it cost?
There is a fee of £55 per seminar per person, which includes light refreshments (but not lunch). However, students and members of the CT ABRSM Alumni Association or EPTA will receive a 10% discount. Students are asked to bring valid student ID with them on the day.
