Carola Grindea

It is with great sadness that the death of Carola Grindea, founder of EPTA, is announced.
Carola was an inspiration to the music world, and her humanity touched everyone who knew her.
Messages of sympathy are pouring in and the followng message, from Vanessa Latarche, Head of Keyboard at the Royal College of Music, is representative.

 Dear EPTA members,

Thank you for informing me of this sad news. Carola was an amazing lady
who was an inspiration to the piano world. Her legacy is enormous and I
for one will remember her with affection and deep respect.

On behalf of my colleagues at the RCM, I send our sincere condolences to
her daughter Nadia and her family, and to all at the European Piano
Teachers' Association.
