Adam Gorb, professor at the Royal Northern College of Music announed the results for the 2011 Competition for Composers. The overall winner was 14 year old Yuanfan Yang, who last year was the overall winner of the piano competition. This is the first time someone has been the overall winner in both competitions.

James Redfern has been announced as the overall winner of the 2011 EPTA UK Piano competition. The finalists were selected from the regional first rounds and everyone who played in the final had already received either distinction or outstanding categories.

Adjudicator Justin Connolly has announced the results of the EPTA UK Competition for composers.
The Overall winner is Iain Cramphorn, a pupil of member Lindsay Berwin. The Frank Martin trophy is awarded to Faheem Lone, another pupil of Lindsay Berwin. The free place at the next Chetham's International Summer School and Festival for Pianists is awarded to Joshua Hagley a pupil of Alison Cox. Read on for the full results.
