Congratulations to Simon Passmore who was announced as the overall winner of the competition.
Lou Warnett was announced as the winner of the free place on the Chetham’s International Summer School for Pianists. Many thanks go to the distinguished adjudicators – Deniz Gelenbe, Richard McMahon, Paul Roberts, Frank Wibaut and Anthony Williams. Huge congratulations to all 112 finalists who came to Manchester and performed. | Results of 2011 Competition for Composers | 21 August 2011 |

Adam Gorb, professor at the Royal Northern College of Music announed the results for the 2011 Competition for Composers. The overall winner was 14 year old Yuanfan Yang, who last year was the overall winner of the piano competition. This is the first time someone has been the overall winner in both competitions.
