EPTA UK and the Purcell School have joined forces in a dynamic partnership to promote and produce the The Purcell/EPTA UK Practical Piano Teaching Course. The course will take place in the Purcell School's state-of-the-art new Music Centre equipped with a fleet of Steinway and Fazioli pianos. This is the only piano specific course providing comprehensive training for piano teachers in this country. It has established a reputation for re-invigorating experienced piano teachers as well as equipping those new to the profession with the necessary skills. The course is designed to prepare students for piano teaching diplomas and/or the EPTA UK Certificate in Piano Pedagogy (CPPed)
The Purcell School has good road and rail links and overnight accommodation can be arranged on-site.
The new course runs throughout an academic year with a carefully tailored schedule of residential week ends, study days and independent work with eminent pianists and teachers of international standing.
The Purcell/EPTA UK Practical Piano Teaching Course consists of modules on teaching skills and pianism, designed to enhance and refresh experienced teachers' careers as well as inform and support those new to the profession. The modules will follow one another within the academic year although students may take them in any order within an agreed timescale. More Details
Cost of Course: £1400.00
Including accomodation and meals. For participants who attended the Taster Day in there is a discount of £50. For participants who pay in full before 30th June , there is a discount of £100. For payment options, please contact the course administrator, Jane Hunt.
